Is Your Home Leaking Money?

Did you know that an American home can waste, on average, more than 10,000 gallons of water every year due to running toilets, dripping faucets and other   household leaks? Nationwide, more than 1 trillion gallons of water leak from homes each year. This drags on both your pocketbook and community’s resources.

Here are some easy ways to find out if your home may have costly leaks.

  • Take a look at your water usage. If a family of four exceeds 12,000 gallons per month, there are serious leaks.
  • Check your water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter changes at all, you probably have a leak.
  • Identify toilet leaks by placing a drop of food coloring in the toilet tank. If any color shows up in the bowl after 15 minutes, you have a leak. (Be sure to flush immediately after the experiment to avoid staining the tank.)

To make it even easier for you to discover leaks, we’d like to offer you a Home Health & Safety inspection for $19.95 (a $300.00 value) call 251-990-5248 to schedule your appointment today!
